How It Works
BillingGenerator runs entirely in your web browser. When you open any generator, a React-based application loads on the page and gives you a live-preview editor. As you type your details, add line items, and adjust tax or discount rates, the preview updates in real time.
When you're ready, click "Download PDF" and the document is rendered on your device using client-side PDF generation. The finished file is downloaded directly to your computer — at no point does your data leave the browser. No server round-trips, no cloud storage, no third-party access to your invoices.
Your work is automatically saved to your browser's localStorage as you type. If you close the tab and come back later, your draft is restored exactly where you left off.
Privacy and Security
Privacy is a core architectural decision, not an afterthought. Because our generators run entirely in the browser, your sensitive business data never touches our servers. There is no database storing your invoices, no analytics tracking your client names, and no way for us to access the documents you create.
